21st Century Community Learning CenterThe Middle School Second Opportunity for Academic Recovery (SOAR) and High School SOAR. Students may attend outside-of-school time to recover previously failed course credits. The Voyages Travel Club takes students on Saturday field trips to various educational sites, extending the classroom into the "real world". LATEST NEWS: By: Mrs. Aubuchon The Voyages’ Travel Club visited the IMAX Theater in Branson to view two movies - Deep Sea and The Greatest Places. The films were shown on the big screen at the IMAX and students and their chaperones then enjoyed lunch at the theater complex. The students also enjoyed a performance of a Polynesian fire dance group from the Samoan Islands at the Dutton Family Theater. Island Fire featured music and dancing as well as information on the people and culture of the Samoan Islands. Students enjoyed visiting with the performers following the show. All students in grades K-12 are invited to participate in Voyages' Travel Club trips to various educational destinations throughout the region H.E.L.P. is provided during the school year from 3-5 p.m. and is available for all students. Extended hours at the Hickory County Library provide students and their families additional opportunities to access this resource for learning. Music, art, and physical education camps and extending school library hours are offered during the school year and summer programming.
Summer School June 2nd to June 27th 2008 Hermitage R-IV School Library will be open to all Hermitage R-IV students on Mondays from 8:30 AM until 12 Noon & Thursdays from 11 AM until 3:30 PM. Care will be available for all children ages 6 weeks through 5th grade from 6 AM until 11:30 PM Monday through Friday (Saturdays from 7AM until 6PM by request). Sundowners care is not available during summer school hours (7:30 AM until 2:45 PM) when summer school is in session. All programs will be closed 5/30 & 7/4. Art, Music, Physical Education, Library, and Reading Aloud will be offered to all program participants in the following programs.
Swimming The month of July and part of August Missouri as a ClassroomAfter school is over for the year, and before summer school starts we have a program called Missouri As A Classroom. This program is two-one week trips for students who are going into their ninth grade through twelfth grade year. Students and chaperones travel all over the state of Missouri stopping at many state parks and landmarks to learn about the history of the state.
